Rock Steady Boxing Glasgow

About Project

A clean and functional website to promote boxing designed for people with Parkinson's

Live Project
Rock Steady Boxing

Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) is a first of its kind gym founded in Indianapolis in 2006 to provide an effective form of physical exercise to people who are living with Parkinson’s. Working closely with Stuart, the founder of Rock Steady Boxing Glasgow, we aimed to create a simple but effective website that allowed people to make bookings for upcoming classes. Working with Stuart, we wanted the website to have a simple and easy to navigate structure, with impactful imagery. SEO was also a focus to ensure the site was brought up the Google rankings.

We understood the impact that photography can have on a website, so set up a photo-shoot during one of the classes, capturing the training as it happens. We were keen to draw attention to the determination that the members had, the clear camaraderie in the gym, and the motivation that poured out of the trainers. We kept the layout of the website clean, with easy to navigate pages and call the actions to drive more viewers to inquire. A simple booking form was added to the site to make it as easy as possible for visitors to sign up for classes. This also allowed Stuart to schedule his timetables and work out how many people will be attending each class.

Both ourselves and Rock Steady Boxing are delighted with the website and photography. With SEO work, we ensured the website reached number 1 rank on Google for "Parkinson's Boxing Glasgow", making the site much more accessible for potential visitors. The business has gained a lot of attention, with media outlets shouting out about the brilliant cause.
